Human Rights Invented America

July 18, 2008

There is not a day that goes by that I don’t support and embrace the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the men and women who sacrificed dearly for our new nation’s success. Perhaps that is why I get so frustrated and angry with elected officials who sit idly by and do nothing. Oh, they put on a half-hearted show of concern, but it seems that’s all it is. Bush gets all giddy at his news conferences as if the state of the nation and the world doesn’t have anything to do with his entire administration. I used to get goosebumps when I’d hear “The Star Spangled Banner”. No more. Now I cringe at what our country has come to symbolize. Thanks, Bushco.
