How to Start a War, by Dick Cheney

August 3, 2008

I used to think the world was a lovely place where the majority followed rules and the good were protected from the evil. But then I learned that those who were in charge of fostering peace while maintaining vigilance were among the most deceitful and evil. It was a rude awakening that hit home not on 9/11/01, but a little more than a year later. If you are still sleeping through your life, it is time to wake up, examine the facts, and look at the cold, hard truth.

First, watch the video.

You caught this part, right?

There was a dozen ideas proffered about how to trigger a war. The one that interested me the most was why don’t we build – we in our shipyard – build four or five boats that look like Iranian PT boats. Put Navy seals on them with a lot of arms. And next time one of our boats goes to the Straits of Hormuz, start a shoot-up.

Might cost some lives. And it was rejected because you can’t have Americans killing Americans. That’s the kind of — that’s the level of stuff we’re talking about. Provocation. But that was rejected.”

Cheney throwing out the possibility of killing Americans in order to get American support (because God knows we’re not going to get support from anyone outside of our borders other than Israel) to go to war against Iran.

Sound inconceivable to you? Really? Then let’s rewind our brains back a few years, k? Go here to read the article in its entirety. If you are courageous, it will alter your perception of the last 10 years or so.

  • FACT: 2 years prior to 9-11, there was a government study that showed Al Qaeda was focusing on crashing planes into Washington targets.
  • FACT: Prior to the 1995 trial of Ramsi Yousef (1993 WEC bombing), he informed the FBI that suicide bombers would be targeting CIA headquarters, the Pentagon, and other DC buildings.
  • FACT: The FBI, in the months prior to 9-11, was begging Ashcroft for more agents to use in counter-terrorism efforts was repeatedly turned down. The terrorism factor was not even a consideration to Ashcroft. You’re going to have to admit that he is either stupid by not understanding what was being needed, or that he is guilty of collusion.
  • FACT: The FBI’s NYC anti-terrorism director, resigned because his attempts at securing the city were continually opposed.
  • FACT: September 9, 2001 – bin Laden told his mom that she would “hear big news” and “wouldn’t hear from him for a while”.
  • FACT: For me, this was the most important piece, because it’s always about following the money. Always. This part is kind of like fortune telling. Remember the two airlines that were involved on 9-11? United and American? Well, do you really think that it’s just a coincidence (along with all of the others) that large quantities of put options were being bought on September 7th, 4 days prior. Put options are basically banking on a stock’s price falling. Fortune-telling. Large quantities. United Airlines. American Airlines. 4 days before. Madame Cleo, anyone?
  • FACT: Although our government intelligence sources reputations’ took a hit after 9-11, they really had done quite well providing information that was selectively ignored. Information was coming in from multipoints in the Middle East, the Philippines, and Russia, that an attack on the US, in the US, was imminent. We knew that airplanes were going to be the weapons used.

From Afghanistan (which we seemed to have forgotten about until election time) to Iraq. We were so sure that they had stockpiles of WMD’s. The build-up of the presentation at the UN. Colin Powell and his videotape. It got the American electorate fired up. Even commercial artists got involved. Toby Keith and Reba McIntyre firing off at the Dixie Chicks for being embarrassed over Bush. Hey Toby, how do you like him now?!

Lies presented in order to get the American people behind the administration’s agenda to go to war. It’s happened before.

If you think that this next Presidential election isn’t important, you’d better think again. If you think that McCain is any different than George Bush, you’d better think again. It’s about war. It’s about the economy. It’s about women’s rights. It’s about health care for all of us. It’s about the environment. It’s about the middle and working class. It’s about our Constitution. It’s about our very survival as a nation.

Pssst…Tell me again…who doesn’t support our troops?
